Five Days of Film. A World of Inspiration. The Jackson Hole Film Festival is a premier destination competitive film festival dedicated to advancing the art of independent film and a program of the Jackson Hole Film Institute. Attendees enjoy screenings of world premieres, independent features, documentaries and shorts as well as participate in free forum discussions that address the most current topics in film. Lively evening events and Q&A sessions give festival goers the opportunity to interact with film industry professionals in a casual setting. The 2008 Festival, June 5-9, will screen approximately 80 independent films in 7 competitive program categories. In addition to the highly competitive Feature, Short and Documentary categories, the 2008 World Program will showcase filmmakers from Latin America, Global Insight will highlight important humanitarian films, Sports Action will uncover the best in action sports filmmaking and Student Voices will reveal the next generation of filmmakers. Additional awards include: Best Director, Best Composer, Best Editor and Best Cinematographer.
