Artistic Director
Artistic Director Melanie Miller is a fourteen-year veteran of the
entertainment industry and has been actively involved since the onset of the
Jackson Hole Film Institute. Melanie has played a major role in building the
flagship program, the Jackson Hole Film Festival, an annual event that takes
place each June in Jackson,
Wyoming. In 2005 Melanie was
named Film Coordinator of the Jackson Hole Film Festival and was then quickly
promoted to Program Director, a position she held for the 2006 and 2007 events.
Throughout her career she has worked on an impressive slate of independent
films (SLC Punk!, Slaves To The
Underground, Liars Club, Magicians) as
well as major blockbusters (Rush Hour 2,
The Family Man, Red Dragon) serving as Producer, Music Supervisor, Casting
Associate, etc.
When not traveling the international festival circuit in search of programming
for the Jackson Hole Film Festival, Melanie continues to utilize her talent -
recognizing talent - by nurturing the careers of independent filmmakers,
producing or developing film and television projects and having her ear in the
direction of the next "it" band. Melanie serves on the Advisory
Board of 360-365 Entertainment Media.
